Great looking build. The new Marshall JCM800 pedal, PPCB Eight Ball, is the only other pedal I’ve see. Use these IC’s. I have the actual MXR version of this pedal and it can rock! Crazy you can find them used for $50 sometimes. There’s a lot going on in there.

So it’s pinout is Drain, Gate, Source? Am I understanding this correctly? If so then a 2n5457 with Drain, Source, Gate isn’t pin compatible. What’s so confusing is I’ve found 3 different pin outs for this. I’m so confused.

I can’t tell if the pinout of the smd 2sk309-G matches a TO-92 2n5457 or not there seems to be conflicting information everywhere I look. Maybe I need to reverse the 2n5457?

I never really cared for the Honey Bee. I tried to like it but just wasn’t for me. I’d like to try more of his designs. I have the Splendiferous drive but haven’t gotten to it yet. Also have the Fuchsia Fuzz but need to find the proper germanium transistor for it.

Put mine on the protoboard last night and it’s a nice sounding drive. I’ll have to try the 763 I suppose.

I think I’m gonna get some computer dusk spray and go over the top and bottom of the board thoroughly.

I only replaced that output jack and reflowed a couple joints on the switch daughterboard and its adjacent holes. That does look a little suspect. I’ll resolder it and see if that helps. Thanks!

I replaced that jack with my normal jack thinking that was the problem but that didn’t work either.

Interesting ground scheme I wish I could see it a little better. This board looks exactly like the Super Stevie I’m working on minus two diodes. How do they compare?
