    No problems. I use it manly with an old Akai S5000 sampler just makes it sound a bit sweeter as the 5000 can be a bit clean. Also the transformers help out a bit adding a bit more saturation so perfect for what I want. But to be honest my old ears would probably struggle to hear the difference...

    Its a nice effect like the sound and quite felxible. With input and output control you can slightly overdrive the signal in a nice way. Is a bit diode city :)

    Just finished a stereo version of this build LINK. Have included a rotary switch that can juggle between both inputs, both outputs, right side and left side. Also the meter adjustment sensitivity pots are external as that may need changing when using the meters in differente setups.

    Thanks for the feedback. Am I using a 25db pad? Which of the 2? Those DPDT switches have really fried my brains. Going to use the Di box with line level and get the impression that the 1k resistor will be ok for that. Will take the transformer out of the ground.

    Is this the correct way to wire up a passive DI box with ground lift and a -15db and -20db pad. As I can work it out this is the direction ChatGPT has given me on, but not 100% sure I total trust my interpretation (or there instructions). Main switch is a DPDT On-On-On Thanks

    Power and the VU meter board which runs off its own transformer. There is also 2 small transformers (bottom left), to convert the balanced input to unbalanced that goes into the VU board.
