SOLVED Super Heterodyne Receiver clicking sound

Yeah, when you handle the ICs, be careful. I don't think your ICs are cooked based on what you are describing but they are a bit more delicate than others.

    Audio simulator?

This may be a dumb question, but I was wondering if there was a simulator platform for the Daisy Seed. Basically, is there a way to audition the DSP code without deploying it on a physical device? For example for a pedal one could imagine playing a guitar sample through the DSP code in order to...

SOLVED Super Heterodyne Receiver clicking sound

I still see a few solder joints that may be a bit cold. Some look like big “blobs” which often means they haven’t flowed enough and/or they have a bit too much solder. That may or may not fix the ticking. Also, if you haven’t already, double check all component values (visually). Finally, I...

    Positive Ground Circuit Redesign??

Oof that looks really annoying to do! It’s definitely possible technically, even keeping the same components, but I have never done anything like it. One good starting point may be this article: http://www.muzique.com/lab/fuzzface.htm

    Low Tide - Resurrected

That is so cool! How do you align the laser to the enclosure? Does your laser have an led pilot light for positioning?

    Mean Green-Sheepy Love 808

Really wonderful build! I love my SD1 but I may have to dip my toes in the TS world.

    Blue tac alternative?

I only use fun tak (the American much less fun version of blu tak) only for offboard wiring and sockets. I’ve had some residue on sockets in the past but not so much recently. Maybe I got a bit faster. Also, as others have mentioned, I can remove the tak after one lead and then continue...

    Where are people getting potentiometers?

There is a dispensary 200ft from my house, it’s very dangerous.

    SOLVED Troubleshooting Maleficent Mids

I used a piece of cardboard to insulate the pot. That’s definitely a critical issue to consider for this build.

Anyone have any new neck opinions?

Yeah that’s the other thing that makes me hesitate. I guess DIY is not just about saving money, but the fret leveling job is daunting to me, if I consider doing it myself. Or just expensive if I am gonna pay somebody to do it.

Anyone have any new neck opinions?

I am torn on this. The price of a custom Warmoth build is around $1000 without finish. I really want a baritone guitar but I can get a new one at that price. Or I can buy a loaded Fender body and just the conversion neck which would be around $7-800. But then where’s the fun?

Anyone have any new neck opinions?

I never tried it but I have friends who used Warmoth in the past and the result was great. I was considering a Warmoth baritone conversion neck for a Strat build but I have to say a build from scratch is very expensive.

    Do you have a one-knob TL071 boost?

It depends on the circuit and the opamp. I think there are people on this forum who can make an opamp boost that absorbs a tiny amount of current.
