Chop Shop V2 -- first pedal! -- Sounds Great!

Congratulations on getting your first one up and running! All the visible scars on the board tell a story. Then again, some red component-covering goop on the board would get you a true pasta pedal! <3

    SOLVED Wondering about 100K trimpots

Depends on the one you got.:) The one on the top right here is for those red dotted ones. The one on the bottom left takes the upper red dot and the bottom two blancs.

    SMD Electrolytic Capacitor Hack

So strange to never have thought of using SMD caps. It's as if I got brainwashed by the through-hole cult to block out any such considerations. Also, is shrouds what those plastic bits are actually called? Bottom-covering things come in lots of names, all of which are not shroud...

    Trademark / Fuzz Bender

Came for the lettering, stayed for the skateboarding. 🫣 [X] Since this is a public part of the forum, I will remove this image after I made you remember this. 😅 Enjoyed the keystep jam as well. Moody!

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Think of how images look in newspapers. That's the greyscale one. A way to produce gradient with just black. If you look closely at magazines like you might see the color halftone variation, via the four basic colors that consumer printers are loaded with.

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Oh, that's an unexpectedly awesome recommendation! Especially since it asks for a laser printer. And I got a black laser printer! Then it just needs a layer on top of that for the white lettering. Edit: Or, maybe copyshops here in the city allow me to stuff my own paper in the machine...

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Anyone ever tried a halftone design with water slide? Going to have to print it via an online service, as I need white for lettering.... Just curious if there's anyone who tried this, and if it comes with any problems I need to look out for? It's going to be quite a bitch to turn this into...

    Random pix

Couldn't find a thread to post this, so I fake myself inside with a screengrab from an article I learned something from. If you Americans ever needed a reason to hate the Dutch, I guess I found a solid argument. 😅 Via: https://thewalrus.ca/return-to-office-mandates

    Big Muff: mods searching

You got the right mindset, sir! My thought: Why not add (or copy and insert) a dry blend board alongside a muff 2, with a trimpot instead of a pot, and switch that in and out? This way you can tweak the amount at any time. Like: https://jmkpcbs.com/product/panner/ From a lesson learned here...

This Week on the Breadboard: The ChuckMeister Distortion

Jodenhaas. 🙈 "Jew... clod?" No idea how to translate this haas cut in English though. Because the prime version of such a cut is tenderloin (backside), while the cheap alternative is clod (shoulder). Anyway, Jews may eat this because it sits at the front of the animal.

    Nein!

The original Polivoks has similar knobs. They're kinda offputting when you see by themselves, but on a build like this, that has this factory machinery remote control unit vibe to it (your tag does a lot of heavy lifting on that)!, they add a lot of character! <3 Also! 🙈
