This is my first stereo effect, and I'm just curious to know if i need to isolate the two groups of LED's and LDR's from each other with something dark? Usually I can find a build report of one done by someone a lot smarter than me but I can't seem to find one.

Thank you, I have looked at those a few times since this little crisis of mine. They are just under $400 AUD, if I knew it was 100% the way to go I would buy one. Haven't really had much feedback on them til now.

Sorry, it's not a super expensive meter, but it seems reliable for most things. I have just read that a good quality LCR is probably a better option though

Ok, just got my hands on a multimeter that can read capacitor values and it is showing readings that the capacitors should be. I recalibrated the tester and it is showing 76nf for 100nf cap whereas the multimeter is showing 101nf. Am I right to assume the DMM is more accurate and I need to bin...

Cheers, previous batches from tayda have read pretty close to what it says on the bag so I thought the tester was accurate. Can anyone recommend a good tester?

I am reasonably new to this and for my latest builds I have started testing components more stringently. Most of my components have come from Tayda and I am finding that a lot of the components are not within tolerances. Metal film resistors are not within 1% but seem close enough I think...

Did you use the 1n4768 diodes that it says to in the build docs? I'm a little confused there as the silk screen on the PCb says 1v8 diode doesn't it?
