I get a bad squealing/whistling when I turn the gain up at all on the Proposition Distortion. Gain knob all the CCW it does not squeal. At first I thought it could be the charge pump but it makes the noise without it in. Could it be bad biasing with Q1? I populated RB1 and RB2 and R13 exactly...

Very interesting one here. It's a harmonic tremolo but it really has a Vibe feel to it. Gets a "chewy" pulsing to it. It sounds great. The depth knob is the key. It can really shape the tone. Component sourcing was a but tricky but nothing crazy. Got the XR2206 on Amazon and the 2N5485's from...

Boss HM-2 + Boss MT-2 = Dirt Monger Instruments HMT-2 I am a big fan of the chainsaws so I had to build this one. The heart of the HM-2 with the EQ of the Metal Zone. I think it sounds pretty damn good. Very happy with how it sound and looks. No complaints here. DMI makes some cool stuff.

Didn't need the build doc as all the values were all silk screened on the PCB.

I'm building the Mesmerizer PCB but I ordered 2N5458's instead of 2n5485's. They are both switching JFETs. Are the 2N5458's suitable for this circuit? Or is it picky with those transistors? From the schematic it looks like they are not biasing so it might be ok? I have the 2N5457 for Q1 and Q2...

That does make sense. I'm sure now of what to do with the ZO. I'm still not getting how the Fat Bee layout is getting 9V to the rail that it's on. I see it goes from the hole where it's marked to the CLR. But, where is the CLR connected to +?

I've been working through some vero layouts and I'm a little stuck on how to add the CLR to the board to wire an LED to the board. What are the general rules here? I thought it was just attached it to the positive side of the protection diode. For example I'd like to add the CLR and LED...

Great stuff @BuddytheReow Any good tips on soldering 'doublelinks' on stripboard? If I have to solder two wires into the same tiny hole it gets rough.

I can't quite remember but I think it sounded better with the transistor instead of the diode. I don't think it was a big difference since they are both wired as diodes so I think either should work fine. Maybe I thought it looked cooler as well.
