This is really a sleeper pedal. It's basically a stripped down Tubescreamer, but that describes 90% of the overdrives out there...:D. But it's voiced really well and I think it sounds awesome. Even if I don't play any SRV stuff on it hahah.

I don't. Keep in mind that in both circuits, adding the bass will add gain.

And while I don't particularly like his solo music, Hiram Bullock's solo on "Stink's" version of Little Wing is absolutely killer and worth listening to.

Back in the early 90's Sting cancelled a concert for no good reason in my area. All the local radio stations started calling him "Stink" because of it. The name has stuck. Hey Matt, I used 2n3904's just because. I did not think to dig deeper into the NPN spec's. But now I'm thinking about building a second one with sockets and try some lower gain NPN's. It made a pretty big difference on the Diamond Peak, I'm guessing it's going to make a difference on the Major...

I use both the poly caps and box film caps. Some of the poly caps I use are Panasonic ECB's. Which are my favorite but disco'd. But I find them here and there for a good price. (Electronic Goldmine). The others are either KYET's or JCONs.

The Aion version absolutely requires a BB2, especially if you're planning to use the Lightbox that's available for it. Awesome looking build dude!
