ok, i just had a chance to compare it with the Super Stevie and found that the luxury-763 is ALOT brighter. The distortions sounds identical but i prefer the Super Stevie since it's treble control is alot more adjustable. here there are side by side:

i'll have to try them side by side. besides the amount of diodes, the bass control values are quite a bit different (Super Stevie's is B5K, and the Luxury's is C50K, there also a hi cut cap going into the 2nd stage of the 5532 (Super Stevie is 47nf and the Luxury's is 22nf).

it was kind of difficult to find a thin stainless steel washer that was exactly 1/4" to fit the fresnels. They also work great for using a washer on the mini switches. the one that i'm using was from Mcmaster-Carr. here's the link to it: https://www.mcmaster.com/94773A710/

I just finished this one today and i like it. i used a Hammond 1590B2 for the enclosure. Probably going to use cream cupcake knobs for the enclosure once they arrive. pics:

well, i bit the bullet and made a new enclosure for it with the correct gain and distortion control labeleing . this time i used a Hammond 1590B2 to allow a little more room (more depth), and i'm very happy with it now.

I just finished a PedalPCB Wrecktifier (Wampler Triple Wreck) and i really like it. I used all Wima film caps, Lumberg Jacks and added a relayed true bypass. Pics below: gut shot:

i designed and etched my pwn PCB for a Systech Overdrive years ago but thought i'd build the PedalPCB version to compare to it and they do sound nearly identical. I did make a mistake on the enclosure's labeling for the Gain and Distortion controls on the Pedal PCB version (got them backwards!)...

I was commisioned to build another Peavey Centurion preamp in pedal form for a customer so here's my progress so far. After testing it, I gotta say it's a really nice sounding circuit, especially with the frequency and bandwidth controls. now i just need to mount everything in the 1590BB2 enclosure:

I just completed this one today. I expected it to have more overdrive (gain) but it does sound really good. i sourced and used the expensive chip (AD823AN). I mounted mine in a 1590B using the logo from the 60's TV show, with a pedalpcb relayed true bypass. It has all top jacks and Wima film...

i just built one and after testing it, i'm not getting as much distortion. Your demo sound like it has more than mine.
