There are very few "clean" amp emulations. There is certainly the AMT F1. @Paul.Ruby was working on the schematic, but I don't see it in the AMT thread, so perhaps it isn't ready yet.

DF is simply an EQ that creates a peak in the low-end (resonance) and gradually boosts the high-end (presence). It is just one of several aspects of tube amp emulation.

This is the original circuit, minus the input and output transformers, right? What were they replaced with? Some kind of balanced input using an op-amp or THAT reciever?

I've been trying unsuccessfully for a few days to simulate a Fender Super (6g4a). The preamp itself is fine. The phase inverter works. But as soon as I add the output tubes, everything falls apart. I've tried three different 6L6 models. The general scenario is that the simulation stops...

Are you sure it was there before you started tracing? Maybe it's some new kind of protection? As soon as you start poking around, random blind traces appear...

I think so.. As you can see below - the pinout is different. But, the important thing is that G is in the right place. S and D are swapped, but usually D and S are interchangeable, so there shouldn't be any problems.

I wonder how the PCB size could be reduced if we switched to SMD. The only remaining issue is the tube. Keep it? Replace it with a JFET? Or maybe miniature tube?

The original has about 1000 pins.
