    Awesome, thank you for sharing!

This Week on the Breadboard: The Quicklime Girl

I would also like that :) (for whenever I get back to building)

What are the most rugged 1/4" jacks people are using?

I'm also in this camp, the Rean are my favourites. Lumbergs are great too and the de facto standard for small spaces, but I there was some issue with potential inauthenticity of the ones from Tayda - I'd always erred on the side of getting them from LMS (only easy if you're in the US nowadays)...

    Even more new Tayda colors!

Love how much cool stuff Tayda is turning out these days, hate that I haven't built anything in over a year!!

ROG Supreaux Deux: "Tui Overdrive" (w/Gerber)

I LOVE Wingspan. This is an amazing pedal, great job.

Getting a PCB made from a gerber

OSH's PCBs are pricey, but it's not for nothing - they are super high quality.

Very high soldering temperatures and components/boards

Also keep in mind that a "good" lead-free joint may look like a "cold" lead joint - best to get out the ohmmeter if you're in doubt.

hey, everybody, I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt, and my butt smells, and I like to kiss my own butt

A third for echoing sentiments in this thread and recommending a Black Eye, it's an absurdly good pedal. Still watch out for the high voltage!! This is no joke!!

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Yeah for small boards OSH's quality to price ratio is insane, I like them.

    Even more new Tayda colors!

I actually think both of those colours are great, lol.

    Retrospectives II - "Germanium Giant"

Thank you! It's a nice one, I'm sure you'll be satisfied. I have been delaying horribly on uploading the gerbers due to other life commitments, but I have a couple of spare boards, and you can have one if you like!

    Buying Diodes on Ebay

SOVCOM is the go-to, no worries there, and ml-electronics/bg2014manue (two storefronts run by the same guy) are also reliable sources for NOS Soviet stuff. As mentioned there are a handful of good sellers for this sort of product in Ukraine and elsewhere in Eastern Europe, I wouldn't be too...

    What's on the workbench?

Oh fuck yes, I have been dying to get my hands on one of these for a long time!

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Honestly same, not that I don't have experience cold-calling companies asking for quotes, but an instant-quote feature like JLC or OSH have would be a gamechanger for this company's reach to hobbyists. No one wants to ask for the price of anything and then have to rescind their interest when...

    Tayda footswitches?

Yes, I use these (the short shaft version) all the time. They are solid and smooth and I have never had an issue with them!

    Russian Germaniums

Also, I have heard that the Soviet germs "behave" like other more typical germs of higher gain, if that helps at all. Also look out for 1T308V (the "military spec" version of GT308V), these tend to have good gain and negligible leakage and are very stable with temperature. GT109i, GT310B are...
