FYI I have two (2) 1590b’s left. No 125b’s. Next batch of enclosures from Tayda are due first week in August.

    Q-Tune enclosure size? 1590b vs 125b

Bumping this thread. @joulupukki and I are somewhat SHOCKED that our initial orders are heavily in favor of the 125b, like 3:1. I'm wondering why. Like the poll results, I figured most would want the 1590b because it's smaller. But that has not been reflected in our sales. One unique "feature"...

    Q-Tune Drill / UV Templates

Hi, We have posted the Tayda Drill and UV Templates on the Q-tune website. If you want your own UV design, you can get the dimensions from the drill template and create your own. Hope this helps!

    International Customers for Q-tune kit

We have plenty of screens now, and a couple 1590b’s left in the first batch. We think we can ship most places internationally for $35 UPS. I'm wondering if there is any advantage of doing No Screen or No Enclosure. What would be the preferred option? a) Full kit - $149 + $35 shipping b) No...

    PPCB Tone Generator’s

Ah you’re right. Jumpered but that didn’t help. I checked the diode, it’s right, have 9v on the other side. I’ll have to probe around…

    PPCB Tone Generator’s

I put this together and it doesn’t work. First time SMD for me, it could be a lot of things. LED doesn’t light up. No sound. I wondered if the jack needs to be stereo? Is the ring used? I only stock the mono version and I clipped the ring lead off. Shouldn’t matter since there’s an on/off...

Q-Tune DIY Kit now available for pre-order

Update: Tayda has shipped and expected delivery is Thursday. Hoping to ship all kits Saturday. Backstory: In the past Tayda has been very consistent to deliver 12 days after I order enclosures, which is pretty amazing coming from Bangkok, Thailand. Except this time, they informed me late last...

    Q-Tune DIY Tuner kit

Our build instructions list the difficulty level as INTERMEDIATE, 3 out of 5 stars. Maybe @Robert or @keyth72 could comment on the build difficulty relative to other kits or pedals.

    Q-Tune DIY Tuner kit

While we don't plan to sell the PCB by itself, if something like the above happens... yes, we would sell you a replacement at cost (mainly just shipping). Hopefully it doesn't come to that.:) This should not be your first pedal kit. But assuming you've built a couple pedals, there is nothing...

    King Nothing, TB no sound?

@Robert prefers 0805 size, his frequency generator kit is based on that.

    King Nothing, TB no sound?

Well I removed the old switch/pcb and wired a new switch in - the old fashion way. It works. I know those pcb switch boards are SO nice, doing it the old way took a long time. But I will say the amount of heat you have to put in is a lot less for a single wire than filling a PCB hole. FWIW.

    King Nothing, TB no sound?

I agree it seems like it's the switch. I checked the switch with a MM, seems fine in both play and bypass. Next most likely is that 3DPT board, or some of the connects between them. I used a 6 pin header. I suppose next step is to take the switch and 3DPT board out and hand wire a new one in...

    King Nothing, TB no sound?

So I should remove the switch and wire in a new 3PDT the old fashion way... probably. I'm not sure if the main PCB is marked.
