    Dazatronyx ТРАНЗИСТОР

Fantastic art work as always! Probably the only Fuzz that accomodates 1Watt resistors and Styroflex caps. I know good hi-fi amplifiers (my old Audiolab one) that would really benefit from such parts.

    CV Voltage clamping

Thanks, I guess that's the "safest" version, but I thought there would be a simple solution that fits into the enclosure of a 6.3 mm plug.

    CV Voltage clamping

Following problem: The EDQ Afterneath pedal accepts 0-5V as input for its expression jack, but CV signals from Eurorack equipment are typically in the range of -10V to +10V. According to an email I got from EDQ "The input is not intended to handle negative voltages or voltages exceeding 5V"...

This Week on the Breadboard: The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff 2

    👍 I simply didn't expect a 5 Watt resistor in a circuit like this.

    What's on the workbench?

In case the trace on the PCB burns away, the resistors takes over, or the other way around.:D

This Week on the Breadboard: The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff 2

Can you show us in a schematic how this large 10 Ohms resistor is placed for protection? Thanks!

    Troglodyte Reverb

Here's my take on veroboard in a Teko B4 case. Not recommended if you're afraid of wiring, but having a master plan with color coded connections is the way to go. Otherwise I would strongly recommend getting the PCB from @Aleph Null. But getting stuff here in the EU from overseas has become a...

    Is freestompboxes.org dead?

At least it seems that there is a real human behind the registration process.

@PhuzzWizard Do you remember when that was?

    Pumbaa Distortion

The requested OPA 604AP Op-amp has got a hefty price tag. Are the 25 V/µs specs a must for this purpose, or would a TL 071, TL 051, LF 411, or OPA 347 do an "acceptable" job instead?

More fun with lasers. Degradation Mimic.

Looks interesting, but I can't find any information about this one.

    legit BB opa2134 ?

The OPA2134 has way lower total harmonic distortion than the TL072 or NE5532, but this is IMHO only justified in circuits such as phono preamps. Thus checking for fake ones would most likely require a spectrum analyzer. But just record a pure 1kHz sine wave and then check with a simple audio...

DEMO Troglodyte — Self Oscillating Reverb

Q: What does the trimming procedure for T1 looks like? Q: What size of enclosure is that? Going through the schematics I found that the labels for RV3 (Saturation) and RV5 (Feedback) were missing. Anyway, I'm looking forward to build this one.

    Resistors 100R and 47R

Since the greek character for Ohm is not straight forward available on most keyboards/fonts "R" is used instead. As @drew.spriggs pointed out, it makes absolutely sure which value is meant.

    Parts Storage Solutions

You see the downside of these drawer systems once you tipped over a drawer on your desk or floor. But if you are soldering on a daily basis it is the most convenient way. My cheapo solution: most parts come in small translucent plastic bags anyhow and I store them in cardboard boxes like in a...
