I'm a big Walrus Audio guy and I just LOVE the Julia. I like being able to get a slight lo-fi warble kind of feel from my chorus, and it does it beautifully.

Any reason/advice as to why the tight control wouldn't be placed just before entering the IC? Or is it a '6 in one/half dozen in the other' situation?

I have built one and they are pretty neat. I have yet to find a cab simulator that functions as well as an IR (especially for high gain), but they the UniCab is the best otherwise.

There are things in the Friedman circuit I'd love to understand (like how the tight controls work).

I'd say having levels would be great. Like a beginner level could cover something like the Ionizer, intermediate could be something like a Rat (Muroidea), then advanced could be something more complex like the Plumes or something.

Yeah this was a weird one because I feel the same, but the person who commissioned this was specific about wanting that artwork so that's what I went with. Hopefully the pedal inspired less smoking and more playing.

Unfortunately, I no longer have it. Since I got that faceplate made I've completely overhauled all my external storage, and in doing so I got rid of anything that was no longer necessary.
