    Sea Horse: "Storm-Petrel Superchorus"

Yes, which I like more than just always having a flashing LED that's on even when the pedal isn't. But I still find it distracting when the rate is turned up...

    Sea Horse: "Storm-Petrel Superchorus"

This is my report on a build of the Sea Horse, based on the EQD Sea Machine. It's a chorus with a lot of cool options, similar to the Caesar. I feel like this pedal doesn't get much recognition - I'd recommend it! Inspiration I was thinking about distinct waterbirds that I hadn't based any...

    Even more new Tayda colors!

I've just ordered the chrome green (with matte white and black enclosures in the order as well, so it might take a while...). Will report back. Unlike the chromium there's no warning on the page that it's easy to scratch, so fingers crossed this works out. I accidentally ordered sand texture...

DEMO The Everlasting Tantrum - an enhanced DOD Grindhaus Fuzz

Nice! What font did you use on the faceplate? It looks really slick.

    Dunwich Cthulhu: "Whippoorwill Fuzz" (w/Gerber)

Just be aware that with the older layout the knob will have to be a bit more towards the center of the enclosure.

    Dunwich Cthulhu: "Whippoorwill Fuzz" (w/Gerber)

This is my report on a build of the Dunwich Amplification Cthulhu Fuzz (the one-knob silicon version). It's a great-sounding doomy fuzz. You can download the gerber here. Inspiration What kind of bird would you associate most with Lovecraft? Perhaps a crow or raven, but I am keeping those...

    "That" Compressor: Dipper Compressor (w/Gerber)

I believe I used a 3mm red LED and a GL5549. Might have been a GL5528. The LDR definitely came from this set.

    PCB RFC - Grindhaus Fuzz

I forgot the right PCB, it wasn't the pyrocumulus. The examples I had in mind are the Glyph and Trumpeter. PPCB boards rarely stack controls in 3 rows, but when switches are on the bottom in a third row, they're pressed close to the pots - close enough that I will put a piece of electrical tape...

    PCB RFC - Grindhaus Fuzz

Looks pretty good. A few small things. - There's nothing stopping you from rotating q4 so it's oriented the same way as the other transistors. Just connect the middle pin to C9 first. It will be slightly cleaner than what you have. I'd prob rotate q3 as well. All the solid blocks that look...

    Even more new Tayda colors!

It took about a month total between when I placed the order and when it shipped (June 25-July 24). This was ~10 custom enclosures, half drilled, mostly different paint colors, and some random parts. I think 1-2 enclosures had bubbling and had to be redone, which added a few days. So it wasn't...

    Hetakusonic Videl (Roger Mayer Voodoo-1)

Really clean design and a nice first PCB layout. About the only "rule" that I can see is violated here is around orientation - the two plastic transistors on the main board have different orientations, as do some of the electrolytic caps.

Rockman Acoustic Guitar Pedal: "Wood Owl Acoustic" (w/Gerber)

This is a report on my build of a Rockman Acoustic Guitar Pedal. This was a collaboration with @Cybercow - he traced the circuit and made a few tweaks, while I laid out the PCB. I thought this pedal would be a novelty, but I quite like it! This is also an entry in the Inventory Contest. You can...

First attempt at KiCad. Am I doing this right?

It took me a bit to figure out how to represent pads/jacks for pedals in KiCAD. That was probably the biggest thing that was unclear to me after Blinky. I have a bunch of example screenshots of an arrangement that worked for me on my GitHub, which may be helpful. Here's a simple circuit.

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Some worse news on tariffs for PCBs (if they ever get assessed on JLC slow boat stuff, or at all): "Importers must declare the exact amount of steel, copper, and aluminum in products, with a 100% tariff applied to these materials. This makes little sense—PCBs, for instance, contain copper...

Boutique Pedal Manufacturers Are Feeling the Tariff Pinch

I've seen news that major carriers in Australia, Japan, and India had suspended shipping to the US until the details of tariff enforcement are worked out.

    War Scythe: "Butcherbird Fuzz"

Pigeon nests can literally be a few sticks. Quite embarrassing but pigeons are doing pretty well as a species. The Potoo just puts its egg in the crook of a tree without bothering to build a nest. But it will incubate the whole time.

    War Scythe: "Butcherbird Fuzz"

This is a report on my build of the PPCB War Scythe, based on the EQD Hoof Reaper. This is one of my favorite pedal designs, and favorite pedals overall. Inspiration I got into pedals around last May, and one of the first pedals that caught my attention was the Hoof Reaper. I think it was...

    Marshall Shredmaster: "Shred-masked Overdrive" (w/Gerber)

This is a report on my build of a Marshall Shredmaster pedal. I worked off of the BYOC Shredder build doc when laying out the PCB. This is a nice-sounding, quiet, but gainy overdrive (not a contradiction). You can download the gerber here. Inspiration This was a tough one. I resorted to...

    Angry Troll: "Shoebill Boost" (w/Gerber)

Ok, I finally got around to comparing it to the Paragon Mini (KoT). With the gain on the Angry Troll maxed out, I find it to be dirtier than playing the "soft clipping" KoT with one side active, gain maxed. It's less dirty than the the KoT with the same settings but "hard clipping". The gain...
