What are you trying to put the exp jacks in? For 125b / 1590N1, you can clip the top of the jack off with no ill effect and place it next to the footswitch - For 1590BBS and XX enclosures, I'll bend the lugs on the jack prior to soldering the wires on, or rotate them 90° -
