PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Wow, I'm loathe to mess with them - it sounds amazing as-is. Would love other's input on this. Certainly looking it a diode bypass switch on my own build, but is this vintage box better to leave as-is and sell, being able to say "all original". I mean, it sounds so good! We may have stumbled on...

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Of course! Glad I can contribute. Man, that thing is easy to open - 1 screw. I love that it has skateboard grip tape on the bottom for anti-slip. Pretty sure that is original. Very California. Pics came out better than I thought, I played with light a lot to try and get component values clear...

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Wow, this is great news - I'll try it. Update on the comparison to my real 1973 Blender: The PedalPCB version sounds great, and I love it. But it's about 85% of the way there to the 1973. A bit more compressed, smoother, lacks the pure rage of the 1973... I'm no cork sniffer, either. That said...

Aion Lumitron (MuTron iii) - with some mods - a bass player solders

I am about to build this and would love to incorporate the release knob borrowed from the Meatball schematic using a spare 1k8 resistor and a250k pot. Can someone help me find/understand how to do this on the Lumitron? Thanks in advance.

PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Pedal sounds great, and pretty close to my 1973 Fender Blender (I'll post an a/b video once I get it all sorted). Tone knob and especially boost switch don't do much, especially in comparison to the 1973. Despite what has been posted on this forum, the 1973 tone knob works with both "tone boost"...

    Pythagoras - installed a DS18B20 instead of a 78L33 - did I fry my FV1?

Success! Worked on the first fire-up. Sounds so cool to switch modes, I’m going to put that on a momentary footswitch

    Pythagoras - installed a DS18B20 instead of a 78L33 - did I fry my FV1?

Thanks for the replies - I’m reassured. Hopefully will be able to get a new part and report success soon. J

    Pythagoras - installed a DS18B20 instead of a 78L33 - did I fry my FV1?

Crazy! - didn't have the voltage regulator (missed it on my part ordering) and was actually happy that I could give my local, Vetco Electronics the business (and they had the part, according to their website). Got the part, in person, by supplying the Vetco sku number. And only 69 cents. Well...

    That’s what I assumed - thanks.

Parasit Studio Theramin Fuzz - 250k pot for sensitivity?

I’m building the Parasit Theremin Fuzz pedal and I would like to use an external pot for the sensitivity adjustment rather than the trim pot. I have 200 K trim pots around, which is what is spec’s, but the only external pot I have is for 250 K. Do you think this will work? Thanks, John

    Super Heterodyne Receiver.

+1 on the scale reference - I work for a company where we manufacture hardware (not music stuff) and every drawing I make or ask for has a 10mm x 10mm scale reference on the drawing. It's standard practice.
