Is there any best practice / consensus if it is acceptable to wire jumpers on the back (copper-side) of the stripboard, assuming youre not doing so over/across lumps of solder?

Hi, I am looking for a simple way to make a socketed a/b cap switch. I have attached one way I was thinking, but concerned it might be a bit chunky. Maybe wire the switch to a small piece of stripboard with socketed caps instead? What are other / better ways? Thanks..

Thanks all..great community.. the aluminum foil seems to be doing the job. I think I will just get some copper or aluminum tape, apply to the underside, reattach ground and call it done.
