Solved! Once I started looking for stuff making contact with the enclosure I took it out and saw the resistor on the potand knew that had to be it. Pressed it down and taped it up, and we're good. Thanks for your help guys

Yeah, you tap the jack sleeve to the enclosure and it's like a big reverby pop static noise. I think something being dumped to ground is on the right track. Not sure what you mean about the LED though, there's 1 LED Spot that I'm seeing

Update: Tayda order came in, popped in the new IC and it works.

Pretty sure it was the ground from top of PCB to adaptor. Could be remembering wrong though, but it was one of those 6 at the top.

Thanks zgrav, just got around to it and still no luck. When I click it on with all knobs maxed it sounds just like volume drops by a few db and bass is lost. No overdrive gets through. All knobs affect the signal

Had it working, sounded great, then turn it on today and signal cuts when pedal is on. Opened it up and one wire had come loose, resoldered it and now the volume is super low to the point where you can barely hear it with all knobs maxed. Could the TL072 be damaged? Thanks
