    tadya OD-1 mods

Buffers aren't NECESSARILY superfluous. Especially an output buffer after the volume control gives you consistently low output impedance compared to the usual volume knob configuration.

Moonn's Pew Pew (Supersonic Fuzz Gun)

Not sure but having built the thing on vero previously, I couldn't be arsed again to test transistors that make it sound "good" or at least "correct".

Are there many JHS stompboxes based on other circuits from the diy community ?

It's not "just a tonebender" in this case but a circuit that emulates a tonebender using silicon transistors following a distinct topology and using not 3 but 4 transistors. The chances that JHS would come up with the exact same topology and values from engineering a fuzz to sound like his exact...

    Discrete Opamps from Orange

I might be tired but I'm getting a headache trying to make sense of this post, sorry. There's no tweaking/biasing/whatever required, you can drop the Boss discrete op amp into basically any existing circuit that uses IC op amps and it will behave like an op amp but, in fact, sound different. I...

NOTAKLICHÉ Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

With the rat you would usually go for LEDs as always on option and put either silicon or germanium/schottky diodes in parallel, which would "overrule" the LEDs, giving you 3 clipping options.

    Discrete Opamps from Orange

Actually, I'd be curious to actually build a fully discrete LM741 DOD250/Distortion+ just for the sake of it.

    Discrete Opamps from Orange

I'll stick with it: complex discrete op amps may not be worth it, but the boss style ones that require like 3 transistors, 3 resistors and a cap can be pretty cool for some applications. They are less compressed sounding and also clip nicer than ICs.

Median Compressor Mockup Pedal - Available Now!

PCB number 676 is definitely not coincidence.

MT-2 / Metal Zone clone PCB

Played a waza one lately and it is actually pretty awesome. Custom mode takes out the bees and if you don't fuck up EQing it, it's a pretty awesome metal tone. If you can't make the waza one sound good. It's a skill issue.

NOTAKLICHÉ Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

This seems... odd? Schottkies in parallel with LEDs would basically make the LEDs useless anyway, as only the lower forward voltage drop diodes will clip.

NOTAKLICHÉ Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

@Robert so is it a part for part Klone with a Clipping switch?

    Mistakes on silkscreen?

Most likely it's an issue on your side but please list which exact ones, what issues and show pictures of your builds.

Odd gain issues with multiple pedals

Unless your TL072s are some very weird kind of fake, they shouldn't be the issue. You either have something weird going on with your setup, or some kind of consistent build/component related issues. Could you by any chance post pictures of the populated PCBs of all thr pedals you mentioned?

    Skeptical buffer high pitch sound

Are you daisy chaining them or using a non isolated power supply?

TUTORIAL Why Your Clean Blends Suck ... or "How to (Clean) Blend"

Adding a blend to a complete circuit is often sort of an afterthought and the buff n blend is perfectly ok for that. But if you're designing a circuit from scratch, there's better options depending on what you want to achieve, just like I outlined when and where I'd use what sort of circuit...

Taqueria Overdrive Mockup Pedal - Available Now!

I know about the Supreaux Deux. Just wondering whether this is literally just a Superbolt with fucked up biasing.

And if you bias it right it's a Superbolt?

    Gerkin Fuzz with toggles

To be "that guy", why not save yourself the trouble and just build it with the knobs? Without a trace nobody can tell you what the respective values were for the earlier version. Pots are usually also more durable and less prone to breaking mechanically than toggles. Plus maybe you find yourself...
