Yep, that seems right. You’d install cap(s) with one leg on the switch and the other to ground and wire the switch common to that pad.

I would think a J201 would be a better choice for a source follower biased to Vref given that the Vgs(off) for the J201 is 0.3–1.5V and the 2n5457 is 0.5–6.0V. A 2n5457 on the upper extreme of the spec could clip, right?

This seems to differ from other electric mistress schematics I’ve seen. That node is connected to the clock input of the CD4013. It may just be a test point for the VCO trim. Not entirely sure why that’s being brought out with the other supply pins. Do you have any other documentation? Is there...

There are two parallel RC networks forming a HPF with the ground connection of the feedback loop. The 47R / 2u2 network creates a 1.5kHz pole.
