Acoustic Preamp Design - Preamp & EQ

I'd be in for one or two also!

AD-80 analog delay is popular but was never reissued

The AD80 is one of my favorites! I modded one with a charge pump and double delay board stashed in the battery compartment. I also changed the mix knob from 100% dry to 100% wet, to the DM2 style mix control that never goes full wet. Much easier to dial in that way. Too bad I stupidly sold it...

    Cardinal tremolo - distortion

OK, that's V2 so you're good there. Are your VTL5C1's Excelitas or prior, or Xvive? If not, that could be part of, if not the entire problem. It's stressed in the documentation that VTL5C1's must be used, which means no generics or knock-offs as well. Past that, I'll have to read up some more...

    Cardinal tremolo - distortion

Soldering looks good to me. Which vactrols are you using? Is this based on V2 of the Cardinal? Just saw a note in the build doc about low headroom in V1. Once verified, if you have extra pcb's, I'd be interested in one.

    Reverb Preferences

I recently picked up a Universal Audio Golden Reverberator and am loving it. It's not cheesy and fake sounding like the belton brick circuits. My ideal spring reverb is the tube driven cap-coupled style like Ampeg uses (Sano also which is where I first heard it) but the UA is so much more...

That's a hell of a deal. I just bought 10 as well. Thanks for the heads up!

    Oklahoma - 30 years

Hey Michael, are you in Oklahoma too? Thanks for sharing this. I was in 2nd grade when this happened. I honestly don't think about it too often except for around anniversaries. I know a fireman who was a first responder that day and his stories, both from the bombing itself and his ongoing PTSD...

    Neutron-3 (AionFX Lumitron)

Nicely done Mike! I'll back you up on your choice. I've built madbean's nautilus (mutron iii) and the old meatsphere project (meatball) from musicpcb. While the options are nice, in my opinion the sound of the meatball is very underwhelming compared to the mutron. A lot of the options in the...

Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

Excellent work here man! When I saw your original measurements I knew something was off, so I'm glad you were able to get a good meter and continue on. This is great data. Just this week I scored a DER DE-5000 LCR meter on FB for $45 (still had the plastic film on the screen!). It's not quite...

CONTEST It's about time... Pedal Giveaway

Very cool of you. That's a fantastic looking build. I've always gravitated towards the Timmy circuit. Although, it seems weird to say I have a favorite overdrive when I don't even have one on my board at the moment as I've been playing acoustic only lately. I do need some form of dirt on there...
