    Wrecking Ball needs some updates

Nate, I just finished building the wrecking ball and WOWSERS it’s good! I did have a couple of notes. First, the 4u7 25V cap from the build doc doesn’t seem to be needed as there isn’t a place for it on the board. Secondly, I used your artwork file (thank you for supplying) and Tayda sent me an...

    SOLVED Paragon(esque) board problem.

Some of those solder connections look cold or dry. Here is a graphic to show the foot switch wiring off board, maybe it'll help with tracing. Post in thread 'Paragon footswitch brute trace lifting' https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/paragon-footswitch-brute-trace-lifting.16480/post-191843 I'm...

    Power Station for TPA3118 rig

I would try it with the 12v output. It says it's good for 50 watts. Worth a shot, you can always return it if it doesn't work.

    Outboard wiring (first project!)

Apologies, I had the wrong numbering scheme in my head. The shorting pins #7 and #8, according to this diagram:

    Transformers

Just finished boxing those Edcor. WOW! I only used my cans into a Mackie 1202 for a quick test but I can hear a HUGE difference! Warmer, fuller...all kinds of goodness. I'll try to get a more scientific test and maybe even make a video.

    Tear jerker Problem

Your pot connection looks bridged between the green and yellow. Your switch off board wires look like they're not.....something. And I'd double check all those pots you've gone off board with. I'm suspicious of some of those landing points.

I just picked up a couple of these for some more DI boxes and I'm interested to hear if they're "better".

I believe the LDR needs to be positioned near the LED and sealed up so no light leaks for testing.

    Beginner confused with BOM

Congratulations on joining the solder sniffers club! Resistors: I use metal film. You can use carbon if you want that "old school mojo". Capacitors: Look at the footprint on the board. If it's rectangle, use film caps. If it's a circle, use electrolytic. Generally speaking...if the value...
