    Duocast spec'd capacitors

Yes, it sounds great with and without the transformer, but I didn't compare methodically for an A/B. Still experimenting. I expect the sonic difference would be pretty subtle. But sending a recorded guitar part for a A/B would be interesting. I am going to try a T1442 out of curiosity before I...

    Duocast spec'd capacitors

    8mm Pananasonic FC (105C) caps fit pretty well, from Mouser, these are 35v or greater other than the 47uF (25v) EEU-FC1V121BJ EEU-FC1H100L EEU-FC1E470 EEU-FC1V101 EEU-FC1V221LB EEU-FC1V331LB

Post a link to that 5mm cap please. I tried a reverse image search and it didn't lead to any suppliers

    Duocast spec'd capacitors

This design has a DC voltage of 27v, so I would not use a 25v cap like that blue one. Even the miniature Nichicons are 8mm, not 5mm. But no need to keep debating it. Nice that the layout will be revised. When I get the board I'll figure out the best thing to do with what will fit.

When I get the pcb I'll see what will fit

    Duocast spec'd capacitors

Lame It would be nice if the designer considered the availability of components when making a layout. Even a little experience in electronics and you'd know not all electrolytics can be 5mm

    Duocast spec'd capacitors

The pcb and build doc specifies 5mm, 35v capacitors in 330uF, 120 uF, and 100uF I don't think these exist in that small a diameter? I guess you have to kludge in a larger diameter cap.
