Honestly, you can probably get away with just putting a jumper or a 20 ohm resistor (or whatever resistor you have on hand that's close to that value) on the middle and fully clockwise spots where the trim pot would go. I would probably take an audio probe to each component starting from where the signal hits the circuit and see if it sounds clear right at the beginning/where it starts to get more distorted and muddy. Might be worth seeing if there's a specific spot that the audio signal changes in quality?
