    Cricut Decals

General Update on Cricut I'm working up to an update on the Cricut. I'm not quite done, but here's a preview. I worry that some of the graphics I'm using with really fine details won't be sturdy enough as a vinyl decal alone. They can't be. There just isn't enough adhesive under the tiny...

    Cricut Decals

@JospehHer Good news and bad news. I'm still very happy with it, but it's actually my son's Cricut so I didn't go through any of the pros/cons of choosing it over another. @JoeR3155 is absolutely right, though. The UI is amazingly easy to use but if you're used to other precision drawing apps...

    Cricut Decals

Wow, I didn't even notice SVG on the list, along with DXF. I don't even have any SVG output to test with it or I would give it a try. But the quality of how converts normal images (JPG, GIF, PNG) to vector is pretty amazing. There's no reason to expect any quality to be lost importing something...

    Awful Waffle problems

That's a great reminder @falzhobel. It has been in the back of my mind to grab another PCB and take a fresh run at this one. Knock on wood, this is the first build that's given me problems. Well, if you don't count accidentally forgetting to drop the ICs into Brown Betty before the first test...

    Awful Waffle problems

Thanks @Nostradoomus. I swapped it and no luck. No light from the LED at either foot switch setting. Thinking I might have fried the LED I replaced it and still no luck swapped that way. The LED is definitely involved in the problem, but it's apparently not the only problem. FWIW, I definitely...

    Awful Waffle problems

Thanks!!! And now is where I admit that I originally built it the way you say. But then while troubleshooting convinced myself they were reversed and swapped them. And then took these pictures. I just swapped them back and I'm back to the original problem. The LED is on when the pedal effect...

    Awful Waffle problems

Hey gang -- I've reached the limit of my troubleshooting skill and thought I'd toss some pictures out in case something catches someone's eye. When turned on the LED comes on, but the pedal passes no signal. There is no noise of any sort. It's as if the guitar is not even plugged in. When the...

    Cricut Decals

Oh, that import is a killer. If I end up having to invest in one of my own I'll keep that in mind.

Hahaha, octave is perfect! I actually worked this up for a fuzz. Same thought process behind the deep, rough voice though (y)

    Cricut Decals

Since sharing a build report the other day (Benji) it's been in the back of my mind to start a Cricut decal thread. I've done 10 or so pedal graphics with the Cricut now and I have a process pretty well sorted out. At least well enough to share. So here goes! Cricut Design Space This is the...

    Son of Ben aka Benji

Thanks! With the foot switch breakout board making those connections so easy it didn't seem necessary to have multiple colors of wire. I'll get more from Small Bear at some point, but for now the blue does the trick.

    Son of Ben aka Benji

Here it is -- my first build report although not my first Son of Ben  Son of Ben was my first 'from PCB' build. It didn't sound like I remembered a Benson Preamp from a local shop and I assumed I had strayed on the build somehow. I have a few pedals under my belt now and decided to...

    Typical restock times

There are a few PCBs I'm interested in getting when they restock. Bohemia, Seabed Delay, Son of Ben off the top of my head. Do restocks tend to wait for a certain number on the wait list so can be variable? Or is it more of a, "Oh, it takes about 6 weeks +/-" sort of thing? Thanks!

SOLVED Son of Ben - bass pot range

Great advice -- thanks. I think you hit the nail on the head. I do really like ODs that lean towards amp sim. You're helping me build my next order list =)

SOLVED Son of Ben - bass pot range

Thanks Chuck and zgrav! I'm cool if it's subtle, or if it does as you suggest and just alter the nature rather than act like a traditional bass. My first build was the Zendrive and it was like this. I was mostly concerned there is a problem because the change all occurs bunched up at one end of...

SOLVED Son of Ben - bass pot range

I should probably toss in that my J201s came from Small Bear and I was able to dial those in to 4v and 1.67k. I also put in the optional C10 and a 250p for C3.

SOLVED Son of Ben - bass pot range

Hey everyone -- Just finished my Son of Ben and I have an odd response from my bass control. There's almost no noticeable change from bass at any setting when there's low to mid gain dialed in. If you dial in a high gain setting you get a change in bass from the first 20% of the knob range...
