    What's on the workbench?

I always need noise and filler between songs

Who's down for some SMD layouts?

I actually prefer SMD now, it really cuts down the size and build time. I would probably build more if there were more SMD PCBs. Seems like this is how things are heading the SMD route anyways.

    What's on the workbench?

I was hoping this would be the bigger muff but I don't think it actually needs a tube beyond mojo.

Low Tide Modulator Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

It has the same pinout and similar specs beyond longer delay so we will see. V3207 are getting hard to find.

Low Tide Modulator Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

Not very familiar with BD analog delay circuits the place I bought a V3207D "accidentally" sent me a V3208. I was refunded, but I am unsure if this will work in this circuit. Any ideas?

    Monarch

No the EAE one, I have found a good power amp mimic but its benefits are limited on your and traditional Monarch. I have heard the EAE FET Model T uses a simpler circuit than the one posted.

    Monarch

I have breadboarded all variations including my own and it makes a nice overdrive. Curious how that Model T power amp circuit would sound on this; I am not talking about the LM386 version, but the FET model. If only someone had a schematic haha.

This is pretty dang cool, very impressive. I don't want to show my take on it now.

Why are JFETs such a Pain in the Ass?

Awesome Chuck, love the information but I am still trying to wrap my head around mu-amps. Hopefully I will get time over Christmas break to breadboard some changes. Maybe this could be another Chuck PCB. I know people have been wanting a version of this for sometime.

Why are JFETs such a Pain in the Ass?

Do you imagine jfets Vp could br the issue with people trying to recreate the EQD Monarch? Schematic

    Discrete opamps

I noticed some GodCity Instruments builds were using discrete opamps, 2520 I believe. I know they can have higher headroom, lower noise, and run at a higher voltage. This can be dependent on the circuit, but are they worth the hassle and have any of you used any in builds? Just curious.

    Broken Whammy DT

It should be C52, there is a schematic on the blog page. The issues with this unit seem to stem from the switching system. C52 is part of the reset circuit for the switching system. I don't know what it is about these switching systems but I encountered a similar system in a Peavy Butcher MKII...

    Broken Whammy DT

These are notorious for breaking. I managed to fix mine by replacing the capcitor in the psoc reset circuit. Don't ask me why it fixed it but others have found similar it to be a similar fix. http://falseelectronics.blogspot.com/2016/08/digitech-whammy-4.html?m=1

    Duocast Transformer

I know let in terms of transformer use for this pedal. Unfortunately Mouser is out of TY-141P but I have some 42TM018-RC transformers which are also 10K/10K. However it's resistance is 550/500 (primary/secondary) compared to the recommended which is 820/1070(P/S). Two questions does the...
