Thumbs up to any pedal build with RN60 sausages and the mini comp comparisons. The Boss CP-1X is possibly my most important always on pedal. I don't need another comp but just might have to build this one.

Love this pedal. Always on for clean tone as well. Each drain biased to 4.3V. I bought 2 boards as backups. I'm going to build another sooner than later to A/B bias voltage. Works perfectly after the Comp with the dirt pedals upstream as a low gain/just edge of break-up. Easy enough to dial in...

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

Fresnel for 5mm LEDs. Comes in clear and several colors. 3/16" drill bit is tight and perfect tolerance. Make sure to order the retaining ring that is separate. LED clicks into place and very secure without glue or anything else...

    Brown Betty

I'm not sure. The Brown Betty is basically the bottom second lower gain channel of the BE-OD Deluxe pedal.

Thanks. Yes. I get 20-22awg shielded wire from ebay. It's "mil-spec" stranded silver plated copper. The braid is very tight/clean and easy to work with, and the wire holds it's shape really well too.

    Brown Betty

Built with stock gain cap/resistors. Aesthetically, I was going for a mix of Fairfield Circuitry and BE-OD vibe. It is also my first attempt at metal stamping. The BB-OD is an AIAB and it's just what I've been looking for to flog the JC-40 with. It has lots of great tones and shaping controls...

I know nothing about pickups and my PRS stock aint cutting it

I didn't notice quite the dramatic effect with my solid body SE Standard 24. With the more resonant semi-hollow, definitely, especially on the neck pickup. Yes, quite the difference.

I know nothing about pickups and my PRS stock aint cutting it

I know PRS 85/15 pickups don't get a lot of hype, but tweaking height adjustment made an appreciable difference with my SE Custom 22 semi-hollow as well. I play mostly clean with the neck pickup and it will sound muddy if the pickup height is not set "correctly".

    Pathogen

Thanks. Caps are nothing fancy, just Kemet MMK. Large selection of values, easy to read, and plentiful stock at DigiKey.

    Magnetron - Extreme Oscillation Volume

Thanks. I have the trimmer set right now so that there's maybe a couple of dB drop by ear when pedal engaged. It's still insanely loud with a huge jump in volume when it starts to go into oscillation.

    Magnetron - Extreme Oscillation Volume

When the Feedback pot is turned a little past 3 o'clock, the volume runs away and I run for the amp power switch. I have the Magnetron placed in the FX loop, without any way to attenuate signal after leaving the pedal. When placed in front of preamp, yes there's a volume boost, but not fry your...

    Pathogen

Thanks. Vishay Beyschlag from Digikey. CMF50 are too rich for my blood these days. Otherwise the RN55 are my go to but not with the shorter lead spacing. Creature of habit. Use and wear what's comfortable. I won't claim they're any better.
