3PDT Board Questions

Hi all, I am building two pedals (Cetus preamp and special k od) and I want to use some breakout boards that I purchased from pedal PCB. I’m curious if the switch needs to be facing a certain way (obviously the lugs need to fit the slots), and if I need to jumper the bottom left and right lugs as I would if I wasn’t to use a breakout board.

Sorry for the noob question. Thanks!

No need to do anything extra, that’s what the board is for. Look closely at it and you can see the traces go like you’d normally wire it up.

With double pole switches, it doesn’t matter which way they are oriented, only how they are wired. The only thing you have to take into consideration is if you want the groove in the threads on top or bottom ;)

98% of the PCBs here hook up like this. 4 middle ones straight to the board, and the two outer ones to the tips of each jack:

If your footswitch is close to the board, many use cutoff leads to connect them. It’s a pretty easy way to do it once you get it.
