3pdt Breakout Board “Switch” wiring for non pcb builds

I’m trying to incorporate a perf board circuit into the same enclosure as another perf board build. I have a 3pdt breakout board on the switch for the new pedal, but I don’t understand what the “switch” hole is used for. The perf board diagrams only have +9v, output, input, ground, and pot wiring. Not sure which wire I should connect to the “switch” hole in the 3pdt breakout board. I can’t find any diagrams on the site.

Those PPCB 3pdt boards are set up perfectly for PPCB projects (and those with the same kinda layout), but for perf and vero I can't recommend this style enough. Includes In/Out jacks, CLR, LED, etc...
