Made a couple of these for me and a friend. Used some ~80 hfe MP38A's from a batch I got from Oleg (SOVCOM) and changed the 120k resistor to a 100k to assist in the swap. I like it biased to about 4.6v for more of a variety in it's response like going from the bridge to neck or when using the girth knob. 6v is nice too though to help it handle the bass frequencies easier and give a more consistent feel in the gain.
Also had a cheap tayda jack fail for the first time. Guess I gotta buy the real Lumberg's.
