9mm potentiometers

Where are you folks getting your 9mm pots?

I ordered some from Tayda but the threaded collar isn't long enough to reach through the enclosure if a 1mm faceplate is used (and just barely fits with the washer and no faceplate).

I've seen builds that use them with faceplates, so I'm thinking there must be a supplier with a more adequate part?

I used right angle 9mm Alpha pots from SBE for this build. (I know—not helpful.) I did have to omit the washer to get enough to catch. The faceplate is 1.5mm thick.




EDIT: Tayda enclosures are a bit thicker than others. That might be part of the issue.

I personally never done anything with 9mm but in a quick look at mouser I found these not sure if it exactly fits the BOM but it does show they come in a 5mm and 7mm thread height where 5mm seems to be the norm. I’m sure someone has a better idea what you might need but it’s a start I guess.

Are you using Tayda enclosures? If so their top panels are dramatically thicker than a Hammond and that eats up a lot of the thread.

I usually get mine from stompbox parts, though I gotta admit I've never had to use em with a faceplate.
