A/B and Summing pedal

Hi again all!

Looking for some advice - I plan on running 2 different pedal boards, one for a single coil guitar, another one with a humbucker and a P90 all into the same amp.

Here is what I am thinking. Run into a A/B splitter, there are a number of plans here that i think I can figure out, through the respective pedal boards, then have something like a reverse A/B Pedal. Would an A/B splitter used in reverse work? Any tone loss implications?

Just like having my home studio ready to go with little to no set up time needed.

What about just using the A/B pedal after the pedalboards? Like this. Unless I'm missing something

That would work as well.

And loss using an a/b in reverse?

Should be fine either way- 2in-1-out or 2-out-1-in. The signal is not being split, it's just choosing between one path or the other.
