Guardians of the analog
Papi Fuego
My last build was a V3 small stone, and while a good edition to the phaser stable, it's not my favorite EHX phaser. The V2 is, IMHO, the best of the Small Stone circuits. I would describe it as lush, three dimensional and fluid. This is the same circuit as the big box V4 reissue with the LED that so many people love.
Unlike the phase 90 that has a very symmetrical waveform, the SS V2 is more interesting. Slightly more asymmetrical and less pushed in the mids than the MXR, this is more psychedelic and brings more texture to chords. Also has a much broader rate range and can go both slower and faster. Also, unlike the phase 90, I can use this one before and after dirt for a different flavor of phasing. I only like the mxr before dirt.
Layout is great, an easy build that sounds great and has no part matching. Just set the volume trimmer and off you go. Trashcan anti tariff build with no film graphics and relay bypass. If you're gonna build an OTA phaser, this is the one. Easy to build and easy to use.
