Acetylene Overdrive Question

I built this last week and seems to work pretty well except for one thing. With the Boost engaged I turn down the Boost pot the whole way and the signal goes silent. It does provide a boost but turning down the boost puzzles me. Is this expected behavior? When looking at the schematic and the location of the boost pot it doesn't surprise me too much but I don't think I've ever encountered this behavior in any pedal with a boost circuit.

A side question. Where in the signal chain does the boost enter? It looks like there is not a connection to the rest of the pedal.

The Boost comes first, then the main circuit. You can kind of intuit that from the In/ Out nets on the middle left.
That is how the boost out works, no signal at zero. If its a problem, you can snip pin 1 of the boost pot and replace it with a 1k resistor. That will keep boost from going to zero.
