Adding LED to Stripboard

I've been working through some vero layouts and I'm a little stuck on how to add the CLR to the board to wire an LED to the board.

What are the general rules here? I thought it was just attached it to the positive side of the protection diode.

For example I'd like to add the CLR and LED hookup to the layout for the Reeves ZO.

I was referencing the Fat Bee layout vs the PPCB Sugarbag schematic and I'm getting a bit confused. On the vero layout it's nowhere near the 1N5817 diode. But it is on the schematic.

It's probably something simple but if anyone can clarify that would be great. And advice on how to add to existing layouts, including the ZO

Proximity sometimes has nothing to do with how a circuit works. The CLR and LED need to get power from somewhere: in the schematic they are connected to the + lead on the power supply. The proximity to the diode is irrelevant. What you want is the two connected to power and to the foot switch so that they can be turned off when your pedal is off. Lmk if that makes sense.

That does make sense. I'm sure now of what to do with the ZO. I'm still not getting how the Fat Bee layout is getting 9V to the rail that it's on. I see it goes from the hole where it's marked to the CLR. But, where is the CLR connected to +?

Iirc, the 9V rail connects to D1 (protection diode), which then connects to the CLR and then the LED.

Edit: @Nostradoomus beat me to it.
