I had more planned for this circuit but the mods I had planned I couldn’t find a way I was happy with to implement. That being said I build this mostly to the PS-20 bass specs but did use a few of the guitar resistor values.
I’m pretty happy with the sound. I oddly kind of like it into the chug setting of my tight metal. It puts it more into the lead area. My primary use is to tighten up my clean sounds which it does a good job at. The only issue I found is that the level is kind of low and only goes slightly above unity. I’m not sure if this is by design or if I made a mistake. I have a few spots I can boost so it’s not a big deal but it would bug me if it was straight into an amp.
I may eventually do a board for this with my planned mods built in.
