What if you took a Tube Screamer, made it less nasal, and then added some filters to change the frequency of the mids, then added some LED clipping that you can adjust to taste with the soft clippers?

Well, you’d have an Andromeda Deluxe. aionFX pcb, chickenwingaudio powder coated enclosure that is damn gorgeous. Love my switches red 15mm knobs. I went all red (minus the few I couldn’t find in Wima values that would fit and bypass board caps). Resistors are PRP 1/4w that are made in Iowa but are about fifty cents a piece. Did I overspend? Probably. Dos it make it sound better? Nope. Does it look good? Heck yeah. I understand the hype of the Nobels circuits. And this is just directly into a 20W stereo power amp - need to put it through its paces with a preamp some day.

Only hangup with the circuit is that I don’t like how quick the volume taper gets to unity. It hits unity about 10/11 o’clock. Could be the pot itself and its taper. But it’s a minor gripe. I could swap it, but I dont want to take it apart.
Give it a try: it’s a great variation on ancestor pedal themes.
