Alternative 3PDT Switch wiring

Hello everyone!
I was making a Rat pedal (made the four-knob version which is awesome) and an alternative way of wiring a 3PDT switch dawned on me:

The main advantage of this way is that the button literally turns the pedal on and off, it doesn't draw any current while off; so I can leave my pedals stacked after having played, and the batteries inside them won't die.
The main disadvantage is that it pops when being turned on, but not dramatically loud (to my taste). Can it be handled by putting a 1M resistor between the input jack and ground?
I haven't found any similar thread so I am posting this.
What do you guys think?
