Animals Major Overdrive with Chucks mods

[cooder]

Here's my incarnation of the Animals Major Overdrive, including @Chuck D. Bones mods.
Great Old School Marshall-esque rock sounds, versatile all across gain range I think, tone stack useful all over the place too.
Noice!

Is this the "Old Fashioned"?

If so, I've built two of those and I think it's a great circuit too, definitely one of my favorites!

Are you using 2n3903 for the "money" transistors Q2 and Q3? Did you happen to measure their HFE before installing?

Great build, as always!

@MattG yes it is "Old Fashioned" and yes I used 2N3903s there. The Hfe on my CCCT measured 104 on both.
Cheers

I almost dime both the bass and treble on mine. Sounds excellent. Make me wanna play “Interstate Love Song”.
