Another Low Tide Mini

This is the third one of these I've built over the last couple months. Way back in 2023 when I ordered these boards there were some gnarly troubleshooting threads going on that made me nervous that maybe all of these were cursed, but all three of mine were smooth sailing and sound great.

The one I built for myself hasn't been unplugged from my rig since I finished it. I've been on a magnetic tape kick for a while, messing with recording to cassette tapes, and playing though a tape delay, and I'm happy to have a little janky wow and flutter on just about anything I'm playing. This is definitely my favorite modulation pedal I've tried.

Same as the other two, the only changes I made were bat41s and a 5817 in the Bat48 spots, and an NE5532 opamp in place of the MP602.

What, if anything, do the diode changes do? I like using my full size Low Tide in a very subtle setting, "thickener" mode (suggested by @szukalski when I couldn't find much use for it in it's wilder modes:)

Nothing I hope! And actually they were BAT48s in the build doc, not Bat46. I'll correct my original post.

I think Tayda probably just doesn't carry them, and I was trying to figure out if I needed to make a separate Mouser order.

I found this post in response to someone asking the same question, and that was good enough for me.

D1/D2 are part of an envelope detector.

I've used BAT41 without any issues.

Same here. Wild mode is amusing, but I usually dial it back pretty quick. I like Gate and Mix at full CW, Slew around noon, speed and depth to taste.
