Aurum Drive Only Makes buzzing sound

This is only my second attempt at making a pedal and I think I did something terribly wrong. When I plug in my pedal and guitar it just makes a buzzing sound and when I click the foot switch its just the same buzz but louder. I think it's an issue with either my switch or my in/out jacks but I'm not sure.
The board itself looks mostly fine to me which is why I think its the switch or jack sockets but I might have missed something. Here are some photos of the pedal, I tried to make sure everything was visible but I can post more if they aren't clear enough.

Looks like your IC is soldered in with the tab facing down instead of up

This^^^ and it looks like the sleeve and tips on your in/out jacks might be swapped.

That's when IC sockets come in handy. Would definitely recommend for future builds. Also, are those isolated jacks? I'm pretty sure those are not ideal for these PCB's. You want ones that ground to the enclosure when tightened down. Like, they should have metal threaded parts. I use Lumberg KLBM 3's but there are lots of other options.

Yeah the IC is definitely upside down, I totally missed that. I'll fix that in a bit and try again, Thanks!

Thats interesting about the jacks, I had no idea. I bought these from a website specifically for guitar pedal parts so I figured they were the kind I was supposed to use. Ill definitely try the kind you suggested in the future
