Hello everyone.
Some time ago i purchased Awful waffle pcb, and shelved it due to lack of free time.
Now i started work on it and i see that its been upgraded in the mean time.
There are pics of my version. 1000027902.jpg 1000027923.jpg
And i cant find build doc for mine.
Can someone direct me please?
Thanks!

And one question.
I see that this version doesnt have input pull down 1M resistor, while new version does.
Im sure there is a perfectly valid reason for it ,so please enlighten me :)

I'm sure @Robert can give you the real answers, but I found this https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/AwfulWaffle.pdf which at least shows the wiring diagram, which was the confusing part to me.

The board is shaped differently too and I think some of the components might be moved around, so there might be docs for the exact version you have, I didn't find them. The values should be on the board so that part should be fine to do without the real docs.

As for the pull down resistor, I would assume that the real one was missing it so it was left out, but was added in a revision to avoid popping issues? You could probably add one yourself quite easily.

Thanks for the alternative Build doc.
I was going though schematics and aside dpdt/3pdt arrangement, only difference that i see, is 1m pull down resistor on input an one 100k on output.
I gues if i want i can just jump signal and ground with resistors directly on the in/out jack?

Comparing your board to the latest build-doc, I can only find the 1M pull-down resistor difference — 12 resistors for yours vs the baker's dozen on the new board (and only 11 resistors on the 2018-schematic Fama linked to).

You got this, you're so close.

Here's your board wired as true-bypass from another thread's post #11

From what I understand, the shape of your board is different, but essentially is the buffered bypass version with the same schematic as Fama posted (save for the PDRs);
based on info in post #10 of the same thread I got the wiring diagram from ( the aforementioned and linked post #11 above).

Yeah, and for a Dist+, DOD250, and any similar circuits that set the gain that way.

If you don't like that, you could try modding it to have the gain pot where R5 is — search online for Brian Wampler's Dist+ mods and you'll get the full-gist of how that's done.

OR, you could lower C2's value and have a pot that brings in another cap in parallel 4µ7 and 4µ7 would get you close to the stock 10µ (adjust one of the caps' values to taste and to get the FULL 10µ) — boom, now you've got a bass control. Label the "Presence" as "Treble" or add a SWTC as Treble but that might be doubling down on the presence and ... you're in free-fall down the rabbits'-warren of possibilities.
