When I was thinking of a concept for the art on the enclosure, I was thinking I should do a play on the mythical Centaur and think of some other strange hybrid creature. After lots of thinking and research, it dawned on me that the axolotl is pretty close to a real-life strange, mythical creature. So we went with axolotl on this one. I followed Chuck's Bass Klon article very closely for this build and I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. Good thing too, because I'm making a few of these. One for myself and a couple as gifts for bass player friends. I ended up using some NOS Germanium diodes from the USSR in these.
I was originally trying to do a really nice and neat job with the wiring, but then I ran out of patience and decided to just stuff it in there and call it good. Don't judge me too harshly.
Tomorrow I'll put the other two pedals in their enclosures. I'm trying to decide on LED colors for them. Maybe pink, or green?
