Blue steel vs Cobalt

I have a build request that I am trying to scope if it would even be possible and need some measurements/advice. The ask is to put a Rook (ppcb Bastion) and a BD-2 in the same enclosure to save space on the players board. Player also wants the BD-2 to still include the buffers and have separate footswitches. My thought at the moment is that if I were to use the cobalt in combo with the bastion it would be doable in a 1590bb(2/s) BUT I would lose the buffers on the cobalt. I do have 2 of the jfet buffer boards which could be included, but then I would still need to find space and run multiple 9v lines. The second option is to try and go with the MBP Blue Steel. Looking at build reports, I think it MIGHT be doable possibly by using a softi2 or latching relay board so that I can use an Spst switch, but would still need space to put it. And just for the S&Gs of it, he might want an order switcher too. So, does anyone have a Blue Steel board that I could get measurements from and give me your thoughts as to whether this is a pipe dream and would need a 1590xx (also open to other size enclosure suggestions that fall between the 1590bb and xx) which doesn’t really save that much board space.

Did you finish this build, Diynot?
I’ve got the boards populated, but I still have to finalize layout and drill template. Using 9mm pots and a ton of offboard wiring. going to have to get creative with some JB weld to keep boards and space in line. So what I’m saying is, no, I gotta cinch up my sack and just get it done.
