Boogie Monster J201....

Having trouble finding the four J201’s I need for the Boogie Monster. Would 2N3819’s be a good substitution? Any other possible equivalent substitutes?

Buy MMBFJ201. Do not waste time and money for replacement/equivalent transistors.

Agreed, just go SMD. They're cheap, super reliable, and a great way to dip your feet into SMD soldering.

There are plenty of places that do SMD to through-hole JFET adapters, including PedalPCB and Tayda. I've noticed more and more boards with both through-hole and SMD options too, they're just getting too scarce and unreliable.
