Boss CE1 king of chorus no chorus

Hello! I have a Boss CE1 clone, king of chorus V2 board. I get bypass tone and preamp gain but no chorus sound. I've poked around with an audio probe around the TDA1022 chip and haven't gotten any vibrato/chorus. The chip was from small bear. D2 is omitted because of the DC/DC converter I chose. Any help would be great!

I mean, to be fair the one in that video isn't working either.
Maybe the footswitches are used in a way that it doesn't matter. You should be getting audio out of the TDA anyway.
Have a buddy with an oscope or maybe at work/school?
I skimmed through some that thread previously linked. May be worth reading over.
Audio path, voltages and LFO seem good. That leaves clock and or the TDA. If you could get a hard confirmation on the clock, then we're looking at the TDA.
Unless Scuffie has something to add. But I guess he did his time on this circuit already 🤣

@johnk_10 ever get yours to work? I know that was 10k pedals ago...
 
Base should go to -14 through r29. That's continuity. Resistors establish continuity.
Do you have a short(0 ohms) from Q3B to -14?
Check resistance.
But also, there's a ton of series parallel going on there in that circuit block....
Sorry. Right tool for the job. Gotta get it on a scope if you can.
Your bias for the clock looks good(1/2 -14) per datasheet specs.
But I can't help you putz around with a DMM in a multivibrator via a forum. Coupe spend hours and get nowhere when 5 second and an oscope tells the full story. Right tool for the job and all.

it was going right to -14 without r29. I swapped it out and it is no longer doing that but now the wooshing is gone. unfortunately no oscope near me so might just have to shelve this one for another day

Any recommendations for a inexpensive oscilloscope?
