Hi guys! i just bought an used Boss ds2 but it has an issue in powering. So when i use my power adapter (9v) directly to it, it doesnt work but only works when daisy chain it with my Boss BD2 (which prob much newer version of boss). The only way to make it work singularly is using 9v battery. PLS Help is there anyways to fix this, i even tried the 12v adapter but nothing different, still not works

on the top it said "use Boss PSA adapter only (9v dc)". It still works like that after i tried the 12v. I only know a bit of soldering but dont know much about what to fix and deeper circuit stuffs.

Maybe the power supply's ground lead is disconnected. This might explain your symptoms:
1. battery OK - battery ground connection is good
2. daisy chain OK - assuming both pedals are on the same power supply, the ground is connecting via the audio cable to the Boss BD2, so the ground circuit is completed that way
3. solo power supply not working - no path to ground
I don't have a boss pedal - are the audio jacks grounded to the case? Could you try separately connecting the audio jack sleeve / case grounding to the power supply ground and see if the unit works then? (i.e. DS-2 by itself on PSU, but with separate ground connection.
