Boss ROD-10 - anyone played one of these?

so the other day i found one of these / became aware of it's existence.
tempted to buy, no idea if it's any good.

looks cool tho



on paper this looks pretty nifty.

anyone here actually played one?

I've really liked all the versions I've tried in that series. Never tried the drive but it's analog and boss so why not!

I have a GL-100 which I think is kind of related but with 2 foot switchable channels. It does a lot of different sounds but I can’t say any of them are particularly standout. I should plug into it tonight as it’s been a little bit.

Mind needed a lot of work. It hissed a fair amount when I got it. Most of the purple caps in this picture needed to be replaced before it was quiet.

that’s what i saw. and it appears to be an octave fuzz too.

I haven't done a deep dive, only a precursory look (the pic in my previous post), but is there a complete family-picture out there of the entire series? Or even a LIST?
I was surprised by how little period advertising I found. Was hoping for that promo big group-shot.

I still have the chorus from that series somewhere! I had the delay too but that got replaced by an Ibanez PDM-1 programmable DD pedal, which I still have too. I played some of the biggest gigs of my life with the little 1/2 rack Boss chorus, the PDM-1 delay, a '57 RI Strat from '82 and a Rivera-era Twin Reverb II. This was just before pedal tuners so I had one of those Korgs with the big knob to select which string you wanted to tune.

So do I see it right that the fuzz has no gain control?

I think I read somewhere that the factory schem switching is incorrect and that the cleanest channel’s output is what drives the fuzz section as opposed to coming from the input buffer. Can’t remember for sure though.
