This was a quick commission- guy was tired of the unreliability of his Proco Brat, and wanted something to capture the glory of the box box rat. So, here it be.
The Rat portion is built to stock Rat2 specs, but with added soft clippers strapped across lugs 1&3 of the Distortion pot (4x 1N4148 hidden on the back of the board)
The other big difference between the brat and the Rat is that the Brat has buffered bypass. The buffer used in the vintage actually adds a bit of gain, so I decided to use the Muffin Crumb board and adjust it for use with a JFET (2N5458)
to keep it as close to the Brat as possible
