I looked in to it a while back and it's the same circuitry as the Broadcast, but with a silicon 2N4033 transistor in place of the Ge transistor, and an OEP Z1643E transformer instead of the TY-141P (both 10K:10K CT transformers).

I've built one with the 2N4033 transistor but without any transformer. I built the regular Broadcast without the transformer and couldn't really hear the difference so have been building them without the transformer (and in smaller enclosures!) ever since.

I like the 2N4033 version. I used a socket so can just swap between it and any number of transistors, Ge or Si. It's not a hugely different sound. The Si tranny is a bit brighter but still has a great tone.
